Dan Styf is the SVP and CEO of the Memorial Hermann Health Plan, a subsidiary of Memorial Hermann Health System. In this role, Styf is responsible for providing comprehensive leadership and effective management of the health plan’s strategic planning, growth and operating performance.
Before joining Memorial Hermann in January 2016, Styf was the senior executive responsible for the launch and operation of the Piedmont WellStar Health Plans, a joint venture between WellStar Health System and Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta.
Styf has an established track record of community service and leadership that complements his professional achievements. Styf has served as the Board Chair for Cobb’s Competitive EDGE, Cobb County’s (GA) Economic Development organization, and MUST Ministries, a non-profit organization that provides shelter, food, clothing and job training support for those in need across North Georgia. He also served the boards of the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce, the Town Center Community Improvement District, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and The Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History.
Styf was recognized as one of the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 40 Under 40 and one of Georgia Trend’s 40 Under 40. Styf received the Cobb Chamber’s Mack Henderson Community Service Award and the Cobb Chamber’s Next Generation Leadership Award. He also graduated from the Leadership Atlanta and Leadership Cobb community leadership development programs.
Styf’s professional experience includes more than five years as Vice President for Regional & Marketing Strategy for Kaiser Permanente in Georgia. He also served in various leadership roles with the Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP) in Washington, D.C. and Health Alliance Plan in Detroit, Michigan.
Styf has a Bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Hope College in Holland, Michigan and a Master of Science degree from Dartmouth Medical School’s Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.
